6-Year Old’s Lemonade Stand Raises $10K to Fight His Dad’s Cancer

Despite having cancer, Randy Cox is a lucky man, and I’ll bet he knows it. His six-year old son Drew Cox started a lemonade stand to help raise funds to fight his father’s cancer. What happened next was truly inspiring.

Cars were lined up around the block as people waited patiently for the opportunity to help this young family by making donations via this lemonade stand. My eyes begin to puddle up as I think of the number of people who took time out of their busy day to make a difference to this family and to help a young boy help his father. Well over $10,000 was raised.

It’s almost like a scene out of one of my favorite movies, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. With so many people making a difference for this family, it is indeed a wonderful life. May it also end up being a long and healthy one for Randy Cox and his family as the money raised gets put to good use!

Fifth Grader Creates A Video Game For His Blind Grandmother

Never Too Old

I just saw a fun and inspiring short video of a bunch of 66-80 year olds from a retirement community form a flash (or should I say “dance”?) mob at a local shopping mall. Looks like their having fun while getting some exercise and entertaining the community. Sounds like a win for everyone! It just goes to show that you’re never too old when you stay young at heart!
