Our 3-year old grandson Thomas has a cold. After we played, it was time for his nap and for me to get back to work.
Thomas gets especially creative at nap time. His excuses can be a little unusual. I just heard him yell to My Beloved from his bed:
“Mama! My lips are dry! I need chopsticks!”
That was immediately followed by, “My superheroes will fight my cold out!”
I wouldn’t be surprised if the next thing we hear is, “My superheroes need chopsticks for their dry lips!”
With Love,
Russ

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
I just love the logic and wisdom of kids!
They are amazing! Thank you for commenting Annette.

So sweet…. my computer seems to be ok again, thanks to my super son. I can get the blogs…yay
My son wants to buy me a box of common sense…. it took me a minute to get it…. see children never seize to be funny… 🙂
LOL! I can relate. All three of my children know much more about computers than I do and are delighted to frequently remind me of that fact. The good news is that now two of them have kids of their own and now it’s only a matter of time before their kids do the same thing to them! I look to forward to it!

PS I’m very happy your son was there to help you get your computer working properly again!
Me too Russ , believe me! But then Russ we are good at other things…. not computer stuff and that is what I am proud of. You have got plenty other talents. Good though to have help when computer stuff happens!
I agree with, and relate to, every part of your reply, Ute.

It sounds like Thomas has a wonderful imagination and a way with words – like his Grandfather!
Thank you, Clare. Heidi and I were greatly blessed when he came into our world, and every day since.

And he’s a fortunate child to be your grandson.
