“Words. They can arouse. They can make you laugh, and make you cry. But if you find the one who can heal you with their words, never let them go.” –Unknown (Source: Forever Awezome)
I love this quote. To me, it is so powerful because it is so true. I know that words can heal as I have sometimes been healed by them.
I believe there are many who can heal with words, as more than one have helped to heal me with their words.
As I think back to times when I have been healed by words, they have often come from total strangers who felt compassion and showed kindness to me at moments when I most needed them.
Sometimes you wonderful friends do that for me too.
May you have many people in your life who heal you with their words.
Love,
Russ
Lovely, and true. Thank you for visiting my blog, by the way! Reading this post had me thinking what some at times forget. People just love to quote that old adage that actions speak louder than words, but the big problem is that so many of those folks are using the adage to cover up their lack of proficiency in the use of their language. Words should be backed up with language, of course, but I wish more people, more fathers, more lovers, more relatives and friends for all of us, would remember that we need to hear the words too. The actions and words go together, and good words from a good friend are never empty.
Thank you for this post and your encouraging blog!
Thank you for your kind comments and excellent reminders, David.

Aw, thank YOU.
It is hard to separate a healing word from a healing deed – yet, if the words are heart-felt I suppose they represent both
I agree with your comments, Mimi. Well said.

This is very true, like that quote too. I have right now again seen that I do have wonderful friends with healing words. It is nothing better than that and gives you support and help. It makes you feel you are not alone. xx
You are blessed, Ute. I’m glad that you have such wonderful people in your life.
