What I Know For Sure

My friend Shian at http://shianwrites.wordpress.com/ asked the question in a recent post: What do you know for sure?

I thought it was a great question. Here is my reply:

I know for sure that I am happiest, feel most connected, and have the greatest inner peace when I:

Count my blessings
Know what I’m doing is making a positive difference in the world
Am helping a friend
Feel the love of family and friends
View the world through kind eyes
Experience kindness
Am experiencing nature’s beauty
Discover something beautiful about myself or others
See my grandson smile
Share a hearty laugh with family or friends

Love,
Russ

About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

Such a good question and even better answer. Counting the blessings works every time for me too, no matter how bad I feel. Great post Russ! 🙂

WIth your permission (and appropriate credit), I think I’m going to write about this too. It seems like a good question for all of us to ask…
