“What Happened to Your Belly?”

During my visit to Maryland one of my three-year old twin grandsons noticed how much his mommy’s stomach had shrunk after the birth of the their new younger brother and asked:

“What happened to your belly?”

His mommy replied, “That’s where your baby brother was until he was born.”

He thought for a moment and asked, “Did I have a baby brother in my belly?”

With Love,

Russ

  1. Sounds like a sensible question to me. Ah, how I love what comes out of the mouths of babes.

Me too. I just wish I could remember more of them. I’m usually so busy cracking up that I forget what was said. Thank you for commenting.

      • When we were parenting our own young ones, we didn’t have time to record their funny yet wise comments. I thought I’d be better at that now that I’m a ‘grand’ parent, but like you say, we get so immersed in the humor at the time, we forget to write it down. But you’re doing a good job at it with your blog!

  2. I wish I could get rid of my belly, but no baby in me just fat

  3. I love the things kids say Russ! ❤
