Our son Ben and grandson Brian are playing with some very cool Star Wars light sabers. They turn different colors and make the same sounds as they do in the movies including the when they slash through they air and the sound they make when they crash together. They’re a lot of noisy fun.
During the epic battle Thomas yelled out to his Daddy, “I’m your father!” in a Darth Vader voice. We all burst out laughing.
With Love,
Russ

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
How cool! Where did you get these? I know someone else who would love to play with these! 😀
My wife Heidi got them for our three adult children because they grew up on Star Wars. Thomas is only allowed to play with one of them when he’s with an adult because it would be easy for a 3 year old child to accidentally knock over and hit things and people if playing by himself or with another young child. Sorry, I don’t know where Heidi bought them and she is at work. I’ll email her and ask.

Thanks, Russ!
My wife bought the light sabers at a theme park named Gilroy Gardens. I wonder if a large toy store would have them? Or perhaps Amazon…

I saw some yesterday at Target, they looked like they could be them. 😀
so fun-(ny) ))
Yup!
😀 😀 😀 Would young people call this e.p.i.c.?
Love seeing a father and son engaging. Heartwarming.
I loved watching them play. Ben was tired after a long week and was able to duel at about the same height as Thomas by sitting down on the floor and leaning on a pillow and just swinging his arm around with saber around. Ben and his wife Erika started up and are running three or four companies (I’ve lost track of exactly how many) and still make time to do a lot of things with Thomas, invest weekly Family Nights with us, etc.

Looks like great fun!
It was/is.

It seems that Thomas had the upper hand through out! 🙂
He really got into it! Interestingly, Thomas is too young to actually watch the movies, but somehow he knows all the names of the characters, what they look like, how they talk, etc.
Russ
Seems like maybe there is a fan or two in his presence who shares some love of the characters with him. 😉
He goe to a preschool with a lot of kids. It wouldn’t surprise me if most of what he picks up are from them. But most of the adults in his life enjoy Star Wars too.

Nice
Fun!
Awww, the cutest things, are the smallest moments.
Thank you, Shian. Such moments can make a beautiful life.
