Roles

Roles

It saddens me to see many play silent roles, bit parts, and cameos in the movies of their lives; treating life as a dress rehearsal. Many choose victim roles rather than risk being the heroes they can be. Some follow scripts written by others rather than listening to the whispers in their own heart. Such movie plots often end in drama and tragedy.

I know too well about such things because I wasted much of my life in such roles.

But now, in the movie of my life I’ve been blessed by so many great supporting actors that I can’t help but feel like a star.

With Love,

Russ

About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

What a nice way to start the day! I think that your words are true for me as well. You, especially have helped to make my “star” shine bright and I am happy to have a friend like you in my life!
