A Special Day

My Books &Me at teh Parenting Resources FairCloseup

Having my books featured at the Parents Resources Fair today was a special joy. I got to interact with a lot of amazing children and parents. It was a special treat seeing a child’s eyes light up when they saw all the books and then widened when they learned I’d written them. My wife Heidi helped me though all aspects of the event. Our daughter Stephanie dropped by as well as friends Sue and Cole. Oh yeah, I also sold a bunch of books. Thank you everyone!

With Love,

Russ

Thank you, Colleen. It was easy to tell the readers and those who are often read to by their parent from those who hadn’t yet been bitten by the bookworm. The former focused on the books, and the others focused on free prizes (such as little finger puppets and writing pads with photos of animals on them) we gave away. Either way, I like to think that most went away from display at least as happy as they were when they arrived. Heidi and I also gave away hundreds of Clyde and Friends bookmarks. They’re bright and colorful so even non-readers happily took them.
