About russtowne
My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 4 young grandsons. I manage a wealth management firm I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of 23 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children. In addition to my family, friends, investing, and writing, my passions include reading, watching classic movies, experiencing waves crashing on rocky shores, hiking in ancient redwood forests, and enjoying our small redwood grove and fern garden.
Thank you for bringing smiles to my face………………….a nice way to start the day………..ok my days started 2hrs ago but you know what I mean
Glad to hear it, Joanne.
Russ
As you probably know, I have been out of the blogging loop for quite a while now. I just read something on another blog saying that you were collecting money for a book. Are you still collecting money? How can I help!
And huuuuuuge congrats on those amazing twins – double the diapers but triple the wonderful!!! ๐ Big hugs! Joanna
Hi, Joanna. How kind of you to offer! The official Kickstarter funding campaign is over and was successful, but I just surprised my backers with the news that I’m going to send get two books instead of just the one to which I committed as rewards for backing me with $25 or more. The titles are “Clyde and I” and “Clyde and I Help a Hippo to Fly”. You can see most of the text and some of the sketches at my new site “Clyde and Friends” at http://clydeandfriends.com
As most of the second book is being funded by me, I’ll make the same offer to you: If you want to donate $25 or more, I’ll send both books to you when they are done (by the end of September and perhaps quite a bit sooner.)
If you are interested in doing so, please email me at russtowne@yahoo.com.
I’m about to be doing some traveling (to see my twin grandsons for the first time!) so it may me a couple of days before I respond to you, and if you send an email to me and don’t hear from me in more than two days, please try again as I get hundreds of emails per day and it could get buried among them. I’d love to have you be a part of making these books come to life! For clarity, the money would be a donation and not an investment, and doesn’t involve equity for the donors. Thought the feel-good factor could be quite high. I’m also donating some of the books to some seriously ill children from around the world. If you are aware of any between the ages of 2 and 7, I’d be happy to send books to them.
Thank you!
Russ

Enjoy the journey and the twin grandsons! ( how exciting)
