Day one of the Loma Prieta event went well. I’ve signed and sold a lot of books today and talked with many delightful readers. Above is a photo of my set-up. Note the “books for grown-ups section” on the white tablecloth is rapidly catching up with the “books for children” section on the solid red table. I was unable to bring quite a few of my other titles because I’d already sold out of them at earlier events or I didn’t have room for them in the space allotted.
With Love,
Russ

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
This looks wonderful Russ!!!
Thank you Colleen. I wish I had room to show all forty-two of my titles at the same time some time.
YOu will have to open your own bookstore Russ!
LOL! What? And compete with Amazon?!?! Thank you for your kind comment, Colleen. Good luck with your latest book, Colleen! I’m sure it will be another heart-touching winner.
You are so kind to me Russ. I wouldn’t mind you competing with Amazon! š
what a great display, and what a lucky situation to be in, with so many titles, and some even sold out!
Thank you, Beth. When I only had children books there was a fairly narrow window of ages the books would work for, but now ages 3 to 93 can fid find something of interest.
Looks great! How many books you have done, absolute super!
Thank you for being one of my earliest supporters and readers, Ute. You helped plant the first seed and it has turned into a bountiful harvest.
Yes, I remember reading your first idea and loved it straight away. And you have continued so strong! It makes me so happy!
Thank you for everything, Ute!
Hi Russ and congrats on the awesome tiime at your recent book signing and reading Loma Prieta event!! I’m looking forward to my first book being published early 2019! I’m so excited. It’s a children’s book, Millicent the Rainbow Frog. I am encouraged to keep writing and learning the technical side of the business as I follow you on WordPress. Much continued fun and success!
Wahoo, Lavonda! May you experience many blessings during your great adventure. You’re welcome to contact me if you have any questions. I’m delighted you’re listening to the whispers of your heart.
Such an inspiration. Iām writing a book and sometimes I feel no one is going to read it. ššš
That’s the beauty of the internet. You can help readers who would be interested in your book to find you by spreading the message to such folks via chat rooms, groups, blogs, etc, of related topics. Writing can be lonely, but you’re likely to find if you treat people well that there are many people who will help, support, encourage, and inspire you. They may not be the same people who immediately come to mind. At least initially, don’t be surprised if most of your family and friends don’t read your creations. I’ve heard many writers say this. They were initially surprised and disappointed. You’re likely to find over time that many others whom you’ve never met will help you along your journey, and some will become good friends. Help them to find you. I believe that if you’re patient, diligent, and grateful, you’ll experience readers who enjoy your work. If you speak from your heart, you’re also likely to touch, move, inspire, and make beautiful connections with them.
Thank you! Thatās a great encouragement. š
It’s my pleasure, Gilian. I’m just paying it forward. good luck!
