Book Signing and Selling Event Updates

IMG_3800

Day one of the Loma Prieta event went well. I’ve signed and sold a lot of books today and talked with many delightful readers. Above is a photo of my set-up. Note the “books for grown-ups section” on the white tablecloth is rapidly catching up with the “books for children” section on the solid red table. I was unable to bring quite a few of my other titles because I’d already sold out of them at earlier events or I didn’t have room for them in the space allotted.

With Love,

Russ

what a great display, and what a lucky situation to be in, with so many titles, and some even sold out!

Thank you, Beth. When I only had children books there was a fairly narrow window of ages the books would work for, but now ages 3 to 93 can fid find something of interest.

It’s a children’s book, Millicent the Rainbow Frog. I am encouraged to keep writing and learning the technical side of the business as I follow you on WordPress. Much continued fun and success!

Such an inspiration. I’m writing a book and sometimes I feel no one is going to read it. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

That’s the beauty of the internet. You can help readers who would be interested in your book to find you by spreading the message to such folks via chat rooms, groups, blogs, etc, of related topics. Writing can be lonely, but you’re likely to find if you treat people well that there are many people who will help, support, encourage, and inspire you. They may not be the same people who immediately come to mind. At least initially, don’t be surprised if most of your family and friends don’t read your creations. I’ve heard many writers say this. They were initially surprised and disappointed. You’re likely to find over time that many others whom you’ve never met will help you along your journey, and some will become good friends. Help them to find you. I believe that if you’re patient, diligent, and grateful, you’ll experience readers who enjoy your work. If you speak from your heart, you’re also likely to touch, move, inspire, and make beautiful connections with them.
