This story is close to my heart for two reasons. The PCT is (almost) literally in my backyard. Also my daughter, son, and husband have all hiked it. When I heard the news of this gal who made the effort to follow up, and the ensuring rescue, my heart soared. These are the stories that need to be in the headlines!!!
