I’d been sitting at my desk a little too long yesterday and decided to take a five minute break to see what beautiful and interesting things I could experience and capture with my phone camera. The images above are the first in a series of posts I plan to share this week from that brief interlude.
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
Ahh spring and then summer! Thanks for sharing Russ. ❤
They were the first things I saw as I walked out of my home office. For some reason orange flowers trigger the pleasure sensors in my brain like no other color. I love that they glow even on the darkest days. Oddly, orange isn’t one of my favorite colors in any other thing (except oranges.) ;-D!
Had a pair of orange pants once. My friend called them pylon pants! haha
LOL! Your comment reminded me of an article of clothing I had that led to pain. While I normally wore very conservative clothes in school–I didn’t want to stick out–when I was either middle school or maybe as a freshman in high school I took a chance and got a bright yellow shirt with colorful butterflies all over it. A very-much non-friend called me “Butterfly Boy” and teased me unmercifully about it. After that I went back to wearing conservative clothes again. Score one for the bullies.
Kids can be such &%&*(s in school!
Thank you, Ute. I agree. Sadly, however, my Beloved doesn’t. It is one of her least-favorite colors for flowers.
Such brilliant colour! Thanks for sharing, Russ.
You’re welcome GodGirl. Thank you for commenting.
Oh so pretty, love the colour
I’m glad you enjoyed the images, Joanne.
so bright and happy!
They’re certainly happy-making to me, Beth.
Oh Russ, I love how these turned out next to each other like this! And I love this color!
Thank you for your kind comment, Colleen. I’m glad you enjoyed them.
Thanks for this golden moment, Russ.
Thank you for the smile your comment inspired, Ann.
