A Hug From a Stranger
This story touched me and I wanted to share it with you.
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
I read this story earlier. I wish more people were like this lovely woman who helped a total stranger. That’s the true meaning of character, helping another person without expecting anything in return.
I believe more people are like this woman and that only a small fraction of the love in action is ever reported. I don’t blame the media because if all the good news and kindness stories were reported, there would be so many that they would stop being “news”. Thank you for your comment.
You are so welcome. Their are a lot of good people in the world, but you are right, it’s not murder and mayhem so it’s overlooked.
Thank you for sharing it
You’re welcome, Joanne. I’m happy to spread good news.
And that is why I believe in people! Thanks for sharing Russ.
I believe you could do far worse than believe i people, Quiall.
so beautiful and human. thank you for sharing this, russ –
Beautiful, indeed, and a model of humanity. It’s a pleasure to share such examples of both, my friend.
A hug back to you my friend. A warm virtual one.
Thank you, my friend. Your comment brought a smile to my face and brightened my night.
