I wanted to give to you an update regarding My Beloved. On the first day of our vacation to Disneyland with our grandson, his parents, and our adult daughter Stephanie, Heidi’s left leg was invaded by a super-aggressive infection. I took her to urgent care and despite a cocktail of three aggressive antibiotics, including some administered via IV, her leg from ankle to knee was completely affected and unrecognizable, and the massive infection was taking over her leg at a rate of about six to eight inches per day.

It turns out she is also allergic to one or more of the antibiotics, and the rest of her body (except her face) is now completely covered in huge welts and lumps. When they tried taking her off of some of the antibiotics the healing stopped but the allergic reaction didn’t.  She’s been seen by five doctors and two nurse practitioners, including related specialists, in SoCal and NorCal.  I believe there is no longer much risk of Heidi losing her leg, but we’re closely monitoring the situation.

With Love,

Russ

Wishing Heidi a continued healing in spirit, mind and body. Unforeseen occurrences befall us all, a noted biblical message. It helps to be able to be with and have our loved ones support.
