I just finished writing the text for a book titled, Stop Peeing in the Kitty Litter! It’s a humorous and heartwarming non-fiction piece that gives readers useful information for dealing with children from toddler-age through late teens. It will also be a fun walk down Memory Lane for those whose children have already left the nest. My editor is backlogged right now but she’ll begin editing it on October 2nd. I plan to have a cover reveal next week.
I’m nearly done writing the my non-fiction project titled, Who Would Do Something Silly Like That? It’s a funny and heartwarming book about marriage that contains practical ideas for strengthening and maintaining relationships. The final draft should be done by the end of this week and it’s queued up with the editor for work early next month. The cover reveal is likely to occur within two weeks.
I’ve come up with a working title for my non-fiction book Don’t Lick the Dog! The topic is grandparenting. (Spellcheck says that’s not a word, but it should be since parenting is a word): It will be filled with humorous and heartwarming stories about grandchildren and offers helpful grandparenting suggestions and insights. I’ve decided I don’t yet have enough quality material for this book (after all, our oldest grandchildren is only about 4-1/2 years old, but with four–soon to be five–grandchildren it shouldn’t take long!) I’ve put this project on the back-burner for a while.
At about 13,500 words, I’ve (hopefully only temporarily) set aside It Was Her Eyes my fiction action/adventure/thriller/fantasy/western novella which is likely to become a 20,000 word novella. My interest in the project had waned a bit as the three above projects burned brighter in my mind. I hope to rekindle the flame for this project in a week or two.
With Love,
Russ
Don’t lick the dog… great advice at any age!
LOL! Yes, human should only be at the receiving end of dog licks. We have a grandson who wasn’t aware of that rule…
