My Beloved and I just learned that our oldest son Ben and his wife Erika are expecting a GIRL! After four much-loved grandsons we were hoping for a girl and our wish is coming true! Thank you, Ben and Erika!

I love the lilt we get in our heart when we discover that one of our progeny is bringing forth a new child to this world. The lilt is pure joy, of course, but also fear for the life ahead of the new being (it’s SCARY out there), and for the added bulk to our heart, now already full beyond bulging for the grandchildren who have already arrived. The heart always finds room, though, and amazingly, is so grateful for needing to expand. xo
