My grandson Thomas saving the galaxy, tickling the paws of a giant bear, and being buried up to his head at the beach by his daddy, plus a sculpture that we found at a Tyrolean restaurant we enjoy that to me does a good job portraying the joys of childhood. A bonus is we got to drive through a forest of giant redwoods to go from the beach to the restaurant perhaps twenty minutes away. It was a delightful day.
With Love,
Russ

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

Thank you, Beth. When i created this post, I thought of your many wonderful posts that so well portray childhood joy.

What a joyful face!
Thank you for your comment, Colleen. Thomas is a joyful child who fills the hearts of those around him with joy. I’m blessed, proud, and grateful to be his “Papa.”

Ah yes, life is good. Enjoy those grandkids. They grow up so fast!
That’s exactly what we plan to keep doing, Jan. I appreciate your wise advice.

It looks great, you probably had the same fun or even more than Thomas! 🙂
We have great times together. I have the most fun when I’m being a kid with my grandchildren, or enjoying My Beloved doing the same with them.
Russ.
Totally understandable, and the best bit of having grandchildren!
Grandchildren are a blessing are they not
Thy are indeed. I count them among my greatest blessings!
