Hi. I’ve been so focused on releasing several children’s books that I’ve not written a new fiction story for adults in months. Well, finally a story has begun to bubble up for me. The working title is called Santa’s Helper.
The gist of it is that a poor young man named Derek Shackelford has recently experienced the sudden terrible loss of his father and the possible loss of his mother from a horrific car accident. He’d planned to work himself though school but had to quit his job and school four weeks into the semester to deal with the ongoing family emergencies, get his family’s affairs in order, and care for his mom and younger siblings. Now the family’s saving and his father’s life insurance are gone, and he needs to find a part-time job during the hours his siblings are in school. The only position he’s able to get is a “Santa’s Helper.”
But he quickly begins to realize that all is not as it seems. It appears that “Santa” is up to no good, and now Derek suspects he has gotten dragged into a scam that involves Grand Theft and perhaps much worse…
If you’d like to be one of the relatively few who receive the entire rough first draft of the story (when I write it) and to have the opportunity to provide feedback to me about it, please let me know. Please also send your email address to me if you haven’t already done so recently as I plan to send the draft via email.
With Love,
Russ
Russ, I can imagine a great story there! you can count me in to read the draft.
Thank you x 2, Ute!

I would love to help! Do you already have my email?
Thank you, Quiall! I do. Would you like to receive it in chunks as I write them or all at once when I’ve completed the first draft?
