Struggles, Suffering, Joy, and Connection

Too often when I’ve focused primarily on myself it has led to greater struggle and suffering. When I focus my efforts and energy on creating and maintaining relationships and communities that share similar priorities, values, ethics, and goals, I often find the struggle and suffering is replaced by love, kindness, and a sense of connectedness that brings me great joy. Blogging is one such community for me. Thank you for brightening my life by being in it.

With Love,

Russ

Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I too enjoy connectivity with people of like minded values. It makes my spirit smile. Even if I disappear for a while I think of those connections almost daily.

I know what you mean, Mrs. P. I’ve been doing very little posting or reading blogs for the last month or two yet know that as I re-surface, my on-line friends will be there to warmly greet me as always. I count that as a great blessing.
