The only true joy on earth is to escape from the prison of our own false self, and enter, by love, into union with the Life who dwells, and sings, within the essence of every creature, and in the core of our own souls.

About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

I agree. It is an excellent example of how a single person can make a big difference in the lives of many, including many people she will never meet. Thank you for your comment, Mimi.

I’m sorry your school experience involved so much bullying. I spent way too much of my school years in fear. Thank you for speaking up and taking a stand against bullying!

Not bullying is not intuitive to children. Those elder and wiser must teach them the dangers and pain of bullying. Great post : )

What an amazing teacher, there should be more of her kind. It is so sad that bullying is still going on in schools today. Maybe we should send this letter to a few schools.
