About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

  1. From the title of your post, I thought you were talking to me ha ha! That security guard is really special; making a lot of little girls dreams come true.

  2. Oh what a great security guard he would make the day of all the little princesses he comes across, the dog has a good idea…….let’s get fat…………..lol

  3. Hahaha – thanks for the laugh Russ!

  4. That dog is my Doug’s brother from another mother, Russ! My boy *never* turns down an opportunity to eat. Thx for the giggle…

LOL! I can so relate to what you said, Lori. My dog Duke always acts like he’s starving–and he could get an Academy Award for how well he acts. He even tries to trick My Beloved and I into thinking the other had yet fed him. He rarely gets away with it but knows that every once in a while we won’t check with the other first before feeding him, so he sometimes ends up with a First Breakfast, quickly followed by Second Breakfast.

  5. Oops, that’ supposed to be “dog,” not “Doug” — darned Auto correct…. :-/

Thanks for the Sunday morning laugh! 😀

  7. I adore that security guard. He creates a unique memory for each little princess…and for himself, no doubt. The world should be filled with such wonderful people–and prolly is, down deep, where all the good stuff inside us is…

I enjoyed reading your comment. Someone once said, “There are actually very few truly bad people in this world, but they get around.” ;-D!

Like so much in life, getting fat is so much more fun than being fat! ;-D! I’m delighted to hear from you, Joanna. Welcome back!
