    what do you constitute makes up forgiveness ?

      I’m not sure I understand your question, Bill. I’m not sure there is a single right answer for me. I think forgiveness can look different at different times for different people, and even for the same person; both as the forgiver and for the forgiven. Sometimes when I thought I’d forgiven someone, I’ve later found more energy within me that wasn’t serving me or my relationship with the other person. Sometimes it feels more like a purging of poison and at other times it feels like more of an incremental thing, such as gradually pouring water from a container. In either case, I feel lighter and freer.
