Aglow in gratitude
Thankful for…
…well everything
Enjoying today
And wondering
What blessings
And miracles
Tomorrow
May bring

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
I’m enjoying today too – I have this extra skip to my step!
Glad to hear it, my friend!

I enjoy most days
That’s a great choice.

Gratitude is so crucial, isn’t it? It takes an extra effort to seek things to be grateful for on those days when everything seems to go wrong – yet what a lovely end to the search, for no matter what, there is SOME reason to say ‘Thank you!’
Yes, indeed. I’m almost done with a poem about a day when everything seems to go wrong, so your comment was perfectly timed! This turned out to be one of those days. Thank you for your timely comment, Melody. (See, you’re right, there is SOME reason to say “Thank you!” ;-D! (And a darn good one in this case!)

P.S. “Aglow” was part of my attempt to count my blessings and turn the day around.
ohh! This is so well-placed with the other poem–it looks as if it answered! Great sentiment, RT. 🙂
Thank you, Charron. I agree. They make a nice pair.

Thank you is such a simple phrase – and yet such a vital part of living a happy life, isn’t it? I have a “Thankfulness Journal” in which I try to write at least one thing for which I am grateful each day. Most days I have trouble fitting the “things” onto a single page! Yes indeed, we are more than blessed! Thank you for posting AGLOW. It sparkled!
I’m glad you liked it, Jan. Thank you for your wonderful comment.
