I belong to a men’s group. About 50 of us meet once a month in a park with big grassy areas, various elevations, and a lot of redwoods. Long-time readers know that I love redwoods.
At our monthly meeting this morning, two of the men brought out guitars and I was called into the center of the circle. I had no idea why.
It didn’t take long to figure it out though. As I stood there the men began playing and singing a song that I’d written the lyrics to some time ago titled “Nature’s Symphony”.
I was and continue to be greatly touched by their kind gesture. It meant a lot to me that they honored the song and me in this way. I am indeed a Grateful Man.
For newer readers, a link to the song is attached. Kevin Harris wrote the music.

Thank you, Ute. It was indeed. I am blessed to have so many great people in my life–both in this blogging community and outside it.

50 men is not a group, it’s a gaggle or a flock or a small village! How lovely that they surprised you in this way.
