Misifusa’s Kindness and My Compromise

Misifusa has just nominated my blog for the Blog of the Year 2012 Award. Thank you! I am honored.

Congratulations on being a two-time winner of this wonderful award, Misifusa! I plan to visit all of the blogs you nominated and will probably begin following some of them. I recognize some on your list that I already follow, but greatly look forward to also checking out the rest.

I also use the re-blog feature to introduce my readers to many of my favorite blogs.

I find that these approaches to award nominations can help spread the love to many blogs and I feel it is in the spirit of the awards if not the letter of the laws (the growing lists of things that many awards request that bloggers do when nominated for them.)

Due to time constraints, I had seriously considered asking people not to nominate this blog for any more awards. But that approach didn’t seem quite right to me—-though I completely understand why many bloggers have made that decision and I respect it.

So, I’ve come up with this compromise. Honest, folks, I’m trying to stay in the game—-as I love it–and to do what I can. I hope you all understand.

    I love how you have worded this Russ. This is a lovely compromise to continue ‘spreading the love’ and still remaining true to yourself and your time constraints. I can SO relate! And may awards keep coming your way as you deserve every one. May more people find your wonderful blog!
