Ute, Of Course!

One of my current projects is an anthology about mountain men. My tale involves two desperate people from very different cultures who must work together to survive and to attempt to right a major wrong. One of the protagonists is a strong, determined young Indian woman who is wise far beyond her years. As I considered which of several tribes she could have come from, I leaned in the direction of the Shoshone. But then I learned the Ute tribe was also in The Rocky Mountains. One of my earliest supporters and long-time readers is a delightful woman named Ute. I selected the Ute tribe in honor of my dear friend from across The Pond whom I’ve never met in person.

May your days be filled with blessings.

With love,

What can I say Russ, I also have heard of the Ute Tribe and loved it. I am so honoured that you choose this tribe. This is such a beautiful gesture. I will always honour it. One day we will meet Russ, you have a beautiful soul. Bless you!
