A dear friend recently wrote that it’s stunning to him how prolific I am. I was both honored and humbled by his comment, and smiled about it because I’m perhaps most stunned of all. Seven years ago I was unaware I had so many things boiling up inside me, or that I’d ever write a book. It always seemed to me it was what some “others” did, those who had that special “something” that I so clearly appeared to lack for the first 55 years or so of my life.
I had the “special sauce” in me and and didn’t even know it. I suspect that we all do, but many of us never discover it, or give up on it before giving it time to grow. I believe it can be a great gift to learn early in life about one’s passion(s) and the gifts for the world that are inside them, especially when they are given the support and encouragement of others.
I’m a late bloomer but I’m blessed with having many amazing people who’ve supported and encouraged me every step, accomplishment, and setback along the way in my great adventure. Thank you to all those of you have done this for me. I’m indeed grateful man.
With love,
Russ

you are an inspiration to me, knowing all possibilities are on the table – thank you
Thank you for adding so much light and warmth to my life, Beth.
Sometimes I call it the curse of creativity, it’s like it’s all boiling in on you but you don’t know what do do with it. 😂 but of course I consider them as blessings.
I’m in my 30’s -I feel late bloomer as well when it comes to discovering this creativity. Mainly because there was no one to help me hone and discover it as I was growing up.
Now, I am aware of it. Like what you’ve said, it’s like there’s a special sauce in you that you just make things differently but in a good way. I’m at this stage where I am trying to balance everything and know how to use it properly.
“I’m at this stage where I am trying to balance everything and know how to use it properly.” I’ve found that listening to the whispers of my heart guides me onto paths and experiences that inspire many of the most joyous moments of my life. I wish you much joy on your journey. May your days be filled with blessings.
I can relate to you Russ, I am a late Bloomer too, always was. And now, even though I don’t write books I found so many more things in my life I can do and am grateful for. Bless you Russ.
You’re evidence that late bloomers sometimes have the most beautiful blossoms, Ute. I love to see you so joyously following your passions. Thank you for your kind comment. May your days be filled with blessings.
You say that so wonderfully – thank you Russ!
