A Twittering We Will Go

I’m finally on Twitter. I don’t know how to use it yet, but I think I’ve sent a couple of tweets. If you are on Twitter and would like to connect with me (Friend me?) please let me know. You are also invited to help me to figure out how to use the resource. I know authors are supposed to tweet, but… With Love, Russ

PS I’m: @russtowne1

About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.

  1. I know you will conquer it… but I tried shortly after it came out, and I’m afraid I gave up… Diane

  2. I’ve had an account for less than a year, but had never used it. Must get back to the drawingdboard and get edu-ma-cated or is that twitter-ma-cated. 😮

Maybe we can learn together and help each other to figure it out. (Though I should warn you that I tend to be on the low end of the learning curve when it comes to figuring out websites. (As an example, I tried to load the image of my latest book cover onto the right column of this blog earlier today and after trying several things over a fairly long length of time couldn’t figure out how to do it even though I’d already loaded images of my earlier books several months before!)

I am on it but don’t tweet often – I will look for you

  4. billgncs says:

  5. utesmile says:

  6. utesmile says:

I’ve been on it forever and still don’t know how to use it…

  8. Mrs. P says:

Well, good for you…embracing the newer technologies! Sorry, I don’t Twitter…or tweet. Good luck on getting the hang of it.

Thank you, Mrs. P. When it comes to social media and fads, it is usually about the time I learn “the latest thing” that it is at the exact top of its popularity and people move on to the next thing.

  9. Here’s a tutorial site that might help Russ. What is your twitter name? Mine is @wantsummerback – let’s connect!

  10. Russ, you can tweet me: @TheDailyGraff (same as my blog).

  11. ksbeth says:

i’m on too, but only post my blog there, not really anything else and i’m kind of in twitter limbo. i’m under idhmgo

send me your twitter name and i’ll try to follow you, but don’t feel sad if it doesn’t happen, because as you can tell, it’s not my forte )

  12. Absolutely the last person to offer advice about Twitter — but one easy way to use it is to participate in Sunday Blog Share, hosted by Susie at Day By Day blog: http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4249769358&group=0&frame_type=a&context=&context_ids=&blog=8639227&frame=1&click=0&user=0

On Sunday, post #Sundayblogshare then type a little message, and add a link to your blog. Then visit other #SundayBlogsShare posts, and cheer everyone on. It’s fun and easy, even for techno-lizards like me.

    Having any tips for us?
