I love this post and am reposting it. The message powerfully speaks to me. Thank you for your acceptance and love for what you’ve seen behind the mask.

Please Hear What I’m Not Saying

This poem was sent to me by a friend and it struck such a chord with me that I knew I had to share it with you. ♥ Does it remind you of anyone?
Don’t be fooled by me.
Don’t be fooled by the face I wear
for I wear a mask, a thousand masks,
masks that I’m afraid to take off,
and none of them is me.
Pretending is an art that’s second nature with me,
but don’t be fooled,
for God’s sake don’t be fooled.
I give you the impression that I’m secure,
that all is sunny and unruffled with me, within as well as without,
that confidence is my name and coolness my game,

I loved this too Russ ~ I am so happy that you shared it! ♥
(Big smile!)
Wow…
Wow, indeed. I’m glad it also resonated for you.
Hi Russ, I also shared this poem on my Blog a few years ago (see link below ) I received it by e-mail, Author unknown, I related to it because I use to wear a Mask, which I also shared about on the Post and yes it is True many wear masks today that they hide even on Blogs, they can’t accept the reality some share so they ignore it or delete it without confirmation of error, which shows their own insecurity.
Masks – https://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2011/10/28/i-wear-a-mask/
Some people today are even persecuted and Martyred for what they believe, why because those who do this to them are frightened that they may be wrong and then they will have to do something or answer for the wrong they have said or done, so they run away be removing those who threaten their unstableness, they show by their actions they don’t have a solid foundation regardless of the mask they wear and the words they share but do we care enough to share the Truth or do we too wear a Mask too so we won’t be rejected or ignored, lets pray we never do.

Thank you for your comments, Anne. I sense real passion in your words. I believe that we all wear masks at various times and to varying degrees, and have found that if I focus on my faults and the faults of others it makes me less kind and less happy than if I focus on the goodness and greatness within others and myself.
I agree russtowne we are not to judge others weakness and shortcomings, I don’t know about you but I have too many of my own, still it is not Love to see someone heading towards a cliff drop that will take them to their death and not warn them.
Blessings – Anne
