About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
The second one takes some untying of the tongue… quite a saying that…
Good point. I hadn’t thought of that, but as I re-read it, I see what you mean, bulldog.
I agree I read it 3 times and the editor in me wants to re-write it to: “strength does not come from what you can do, it comes from doing the things you once thought impossible. ”
I like your version better, Diana. Thank you for sharing it.
shhh don’t tell the author!
;-D!
I like the last one!
What a wonderful coincidence! So do I! ;-D! Seriously, thank you for your feedback. It is a good quote for my collection. I remember that a long time ago you mentioned that you collect quotes too. COOL!
All good quotes, I like them all, T. Roosevelt said some good things, I come across him more often! I collect quotes too. I got lots of books where I stick them in, and a folder which I browse in regularly. I love quotes! You have lit up my face! Thank you !
It’s great to learn of another quote collector, Ute! Thank you for your kind comment. I use quotes as daily reminders and as affirmations. My desk has many of the and I rotate them so they don’t become invisible to me over time.
