About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
I once asked a wise person how to tell what is right, and she said listen to the quiet voice inside you.
I whole-heartedly agree, Bill, and have learned that the right thing to do is very often also the kindest thing, though the kindest thing isn’t always immediately obvious at the time.

yep -sometimes kindness is tough-love
Yes. That was a tough lesson for me–at both ends of it.

Thank you, Bill. I enjoyed and was powerfully touched by it.

I liked the quote – I don’t know a thankful person who is bitter. I will have to remember that.
Me too.
I agree
Thank you for commenting, Joanne.

How profound, Russ… I should “listen”.
Thank you, Koji. I have sometimes heard the whispers and ignored them. I can’t think of a single instance when I didn’t regret ignoring the voice.
Russ
This is so true, Russ…very true.
I appreciate your feedback, Michelle. Thank you.
