I’m always appreciative and grateful when someone says something kind about this blog or honors it with an award, and I’ve just reached a decision that I’ve long considered and kept putting off until now.
I no longer plan to accept blog awards. I will always be grateful to those who have nominated me for them, and I may even on occasion answer questions, etc, that are part of an award, but going forward I need to better balance the way I spend my time on-line.
Thank you for your support and understanding!
Love,
Russ
About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
I had to do the same thing – the time it takes to respond got too much. I would rather spend my time reading the blogs I enjoy, and concentrate on my writing. So I get it!
Thank you, Melody. You hit it on the head. I would rather spend my time reading the blogs I enjoy, and concentrate on my writing.

Makes so much sense Russ! 🙂 I also don’t accept awards because of the same reasons.
Thank you for your feedback, support, and friendship, Kristi.

I accept them but I rarely do a post about the awards
I guess everyone needs to decide for themselves as to what works best for them.
