“Sometimes you just have to let go
of what’s gone,
appreciate what still remains
and look forward to what’s coming next.”

I’ve been there and will be again. Based on my experience, I’d say this quote is wise and true.

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
Once upon a time I met my soulmate and we had a wild affair. From the beginning I knew it wouldn’t last and I knew I was going for it anyway. I never regretted it. I wouldn’t change it to spare myself the pain. I am richer for the experience. Shocked? π
I don’t get shocked easily, my friend. I’m glad that you found great joy in the time you had with your soul mate, and that the gain was worth the pain of the loss that followed.
