Conscious Of Our Treasures

This post sums up many of the ways that gratitude enhances my life. I was once told by a dear friend that I say “Thank you” too often. Considering the number of the blessings in my life, I’m not convinced that I say it enough!

Taking things for granted is one of the greatest assaults on the quality of our lives. When we take things for granted we never get to see the size of the gifts that are constantly being placed in front of us. As a result we feel only scarcity, there is not enough, rather than abundance.

You may be asking ‘What am I talking about? The world is in a mess’. Yes, the economy is dire, there is poverty and parts of the world are in civil unrest. Despite these facts there is so much to be grateful for, the riches of the world surround us, yet we do not always see them.
