I normally like to think things out
And to give folks the benefit of the doubt
But there have been times that I’ve found
It’s wisest not to hang around
When my stomach starts to churn
That’s the time to leave I’ve learned
It’s so much better to trust my gut
Than be stabbed in the back or knocked on my butt
When things seem too good to be true
I watch my back and wallet too
So while there are times I think things out
I also trust instinct and the Detriment of the Doubt

Very nicely put. I like this one.
I like that you like it, my friend. Thank you for saying so!

I trust my gut too and like you I like to give the benefit of the doubt as well.
That sounds like a good approach to me. I recently saw something focused at kids that basically said, “If it doesn’t feel right, walk away, no matter who asks you to stay.” I really like that campaign. Hopefully it will give children more strength and resolve to ignore peer pressure when they sense danger.

yup, gotta listen to your Spidey Senses!
LOL! YUP! That’s what they’re there for!
I have trusted my gut for many years and still do
That sounds like a good idea to me. If one can’t trust their own gut, who can they trust?

and a lovely piece it is…
Thank you, bulldog.
