“A vehicle for awakening!” Wow, what a wise and beautiful way to view our bodies.

About russtowne
I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
Yes, bodies require constant attention and complain when they don’t get it. So yes, I get the concept.
I especially agree about the bodies complaining part. That is certainly true for me when I eat too much of things I shouldn’t, or simply eat too much of even healthy things.
Welcome to my humble online home.

No thanks I already have an over-sized one that doesn’t fit in my trunk.

Great quote, Russ. I so agree!

Kachoo? Catch you? ;-D! Hi, Cathy. I knew what you meant to type. There is a LOT I mean to type that somehow never quite gets to readers the way I’d envisioned. I’m a lousy typist, poor speller, and even worse editor. So, trust me when I say I feel your pain. And yours was only an itty-bitty oops. By the way, I not long ago discovered the small “edit” button next to the date and time line for each comment. I’ll bet if you test it you may be able to fix a future error before anyone even seees it. At least that’s what I keep telling myself as I use that button….

PS Thank you for the comment, Cathy.
I mean Cathy, my right hand slipped…
I won’t tell anyone if you won’t! Shhhh! It’ll be our little secret…. ;-D!
🙂
#3 – when it takes prominence – definitely brings this point to the forefront…unfortunately.
Thank you for your comment. Sorry it took so long to reply to you. I’ve veen traveling and my plans for keeping in touch with my online friends took a few hits along the way.

Great post. I love and follow “tinybuddha” too , it has great wisdom. Some people do not treat their body with respect, we always take too much for granted, health. Only when we feel bad it dawns at us and we want health. Thank you!
Thank you, Ute. Too often that has been true in my life. I’ve made some improvements but it needs to remain a focus area for me for the rest of my life.
