I haven’t yet found a place for it in one of my songs, but someday I’m going to use these lines–which as far as I know I made up–in a lyric:
“I’ve been awake for so long that it’s going to be a race
To have my head hit my pillow before my face hits the floor.”

Just don’t wake up in the bushes when the sprinkler starts to spray!
LOL! Thank you for the good advice, Bill. It sounds as though you are speaking from experience on this matter… ;-D!

I will only admit I was once young. ( smile )
And that admission speaks volumes, my friend! ;-D!
When I was 16 I worked at a restaurant. After a large wedding reception, a man gave a nearly full case of Champagne to the restraurant staff as a tip. We were all 16-18. Amazingly, I was able to ride, wobble, and veer my bicycle home afterwards, but as I attempted to turn my bicycle into our approximately 20-foot wide driveway, I missed, hitting the curb next to it instead. I flew like Superman and crashed head-first skidding along our dew-soaked front lawn.
And people ask me why I don’t want to go back and visit my high school days. Once was more than enough for me…

good one! at least it was a soft landing!
LOL! It didn’t feel so soft at the time! I had mud and grass in my mouth and grass stains everywhere.
