I just ordered the book “One” by Richard Bach and when the order was confirmed it came with this comment:
“I gave my life to become the person I am right now. Was it worth it?”
WHOAH! What an unexpected thing to see. Powerful. Evocative. Shocking.
My first reaction was to answer to myself, “Yes”, and I think there is a good chance that will ultimately be my final answer, but I intend to ponder this question often, today and in the future. I look forward to that journey and what I might discover about myself and my life along the way.

Hi Russ, I am excited to hear what you think of that book. He is such a thought-provoking author, and that’s another fave. Thanks for the excellent post on this question he poses… Evocative indeed. “Was it worth it?” I think we know the ultimate answer already 🙂 Hugs, Gina
Thank you, Gina! I’m looking forward to reading it. I’d only read J.L. Seagull and Illusions, but enjoyed both of those thought-provking yet reassuring books. I hadn’t realized that he’d written so many books until I went on-line to order “One”.
Russ
One of my favorite books is Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Illusions is another. I’ll have to read One…
Mine too. Richard Bach has a wonderful way of looking at the world and of telling stories involving life principles i n a way that is entertaining and enlighening. Thank you for your comment, and for stopping by.
Russ
I got addicted to Bach way back when I was a freshman at Texas A&M University. Neil Diamond released his 1973 album “Jonathan Livingston Seagull,” and the liner notes inspired me to read the simple book by Richard Bach. He has lots of great ones, of which One, Nothing By Chance, and The Ferret Chronicles were some of my favorite.
Thank you for mentioning three more Richard Bach titles. I ordered “One” a day or two ago,and plan to order the other two you mentioed when I’m done with One.
Russ.
