To Live In The Presence of Great Truths

“To live in the presence of great truths, to be dealing with eternal laws, to be led by permanent ideals, that is what keeps a man patient when the world ignores him, and calm and unspoiled when the world praises him.”
–Francis Peabody

I love the phrase: “To live in the presence of great truths”. I’d add “combined with living in the presence of great love.” It is in that combination of presence on which I attempt to keep focused. While I too often forget the power in doing so, when I remember, I’m able to fully appreciate the blessings, gifts, and miracles that I’m given every day.

Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
