The World is Full Of Magic Things Indeed

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”

— W.B. Yeats

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this quote, but I like it. The world is full of magic things indeed. A walk in nature with all of our senses fully open and aware can be a truly spiritual and awe-inspiring re-awakaning.

Even better to do so with a young child for which everything is new and magical. I look forward to walking with my grandson in a redwood grove, along a forest trail near a stream, on the beach near the ocean, and so many more magical places. And camping under the stars. In the meantime, I’ll patiently wait for him to reach an age where we can do those things together as I add to my Grandson List (It’s like a Bucket List only better!) ;-D!

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
