Cats Delivered Mail

There was a day in Belgium when “The Belgian Society for the Elevation of the Domestic Cat” experimented with having had thirty-seven felines deliver mail. They delivered it! However, there were some, uh, complications.

May your days be filled with blessings.

Saving Tom Turkey

ducks_pg18

Here is a scene from The Ducks Who Flew Every Which Way where Loopy distracts an eagle to save Tom Turkey. Illustrator Josh Mcgill captures the moment well. The children’s picture book will be released in April.

Sketches for The Ducks Who Flew Every Which Way

I’m blessed that Josh McGill is illustrating my next two children’s books. These are sketches for the first sequel to my top selling book The Duck Who Flew Upside Down. It’s been on Amazon’s Bestselling children’s book list for its category for many months.

The first sequel is titled The Ducks Who Flew Every Which Way. It will likely be released near the end of April.

May your days be filled with blessings.

With love,

Russ

Transcending Distance and Time

IMG_0018

One of the many reasons I love to write is that I can sit alone in my little writing nook in the present and create something that can touch, entertain, and connect with the hearts, minds, and spirits of readers and listeners of all ages, not only around the world but potentially far into the future, long after I’m dead.

Such transcendence of distance and time is more than merely magical to me. It is spiritual and sacred.

May your days be filled with blessings.

With love,

Russ

Cover for Wilbur Sequel & News for Another

ducks_front_cover-2

I’ve enjoyed writing the sequel to Wilbur the Duck Who Flew Upside Down so much that I’ve begun writing a third one featuring Wilbur and the rest of his wacky family and unusual flock as they help a family of ostriches fulfill a lifelong but seemingly impossible dream. The working title is Wilbur and the Not-So-Impossible Dream.

Interview Co-Author with Holly Bargo

Holly Bargo Interview

My co-author on Six Shots Each Gun, Holly Bargo, was recently interviewed. It was a treat for me to read it and I believe you’ll enjoy it too.

I’m in the process of turning Six Shots Each Gun into an audiobook. As I listen to each story, I’m reminded as to just how good a writer Holly Bargo is. I’m blessed to have her as a co-writer of this book. Plus, she’s fun to work with. I’d love to see her write more westerns. She’s a natural for the genre.

May your days be filled with blessings.

As a hopeless romantic I’m drawn to writing stories of improbable beginnings and happy endings.
