I’ve included the song too, for those who haven’t yet heard it or would like to hear it again. My co-writer on it is Kevin Harris.
As most of you know, I’m happy to share my song-writing journey via posts on this blog, from the point when a seed for a song is planted in my brain, through writing and revising the lyric, creating the music, producing a rough mix and then the final mix, creating cover art, and finally listing the song for sale.
Readers of my blog get to hear my songs for free–and I get to have people hear my songs! Some of you have said that you like some of my songs so much that you want the opportunity to pay for them. I apologize to you for how long it has taken me to get a song to the point where you will soon be able to do so. Hopefully within a few days “Nature’s Symphony” will be available for sale. I’ll let you know when that occurs.
As soon as cover art is produced for four of my other songs, I plan to finish listing them and sharing the cover art with you. It could be 4-8 weeks or longer before suitable photos for them will be created and ready for inclusion into the song-selling sites. It is a bit of a challenge to come up with suitable theme-based photos for “No More Secrets/No More Lies”, “Katie Sue”, and “What Kind Of Man Does That”.
I’m looking for photos that evoke the feeling of each song and tell part of the story, while being genric enought that the viewer/listener can envision themselves in the photo and in the song. And technically, I need someone who can work with photoshop to produce and download photos to the correct specs, and artfully insert the name of the song, and names of the artist(s) and co-writers into the photo.
Peter was great for the photo above, and I always enjoy working with him, but he travels a lot and is very busy, so he doesn’t have much time to create the art for my songs. Hence, the 4-8 weeks turnaround time I anticipate for the next four songs.
Thank you all for your support and for listening to my creations. You keep my songs alive, and I am grateful for that wonderful gift.
