It’s What’s On The Inside That Counts

I just saw a drawing of a very old lady stooped over with age and walking slowly with a cane. On the wall beside wher as a shadow of a slender young ballerina with arms outsretched and standing on the toes of one foot.

The caption read: “It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.”

I don’t know who created either the drawing or the caption, but I believe the creator(s) captured a wonderful truth just about perfectly.

This is so true Russ! It’s how we feel on the inside. I think I’ve seen that image too. And have you seen the one of an orange cat glancing into a mirror and the reflection is that of a tiger? It is not our years or how we appear on the outside, but how we feel. Thanks for sharing this great truth with us. An important reminder, every day. 🙂
    Hugs, Gina

Always inside that counts! Children (0-5 years) are such experts in seeing inside, before judging. Just saw this image today and thought about sharing it on my blog, because it is so important to remember to live by. Sometimes the book cover does match the content.

There are times when I believe it is a different kind of challenge for someone who is born with incredible beauty They gain much in certain ways, but perhaps lose much in others.
