Life Is A Mirror

“Life is a mirror and will reflect to the thinker what he thinks into it.” -Ernest Holmes

I also believe that life is a magnifier and will magnify good and ill deeds out into the world and back onto the doer. I’m not suggesting that life is fair–I’ve seen too many examples where it isn’t where wonderful and often young people or even children are stricken with terribly painful, debillitating, and/or life-ending diseases–but I still believe in karma and that good deeds tend to create a better world, and bad deeds tend to have the opposite effect, so it makes sense to me to choose kindness, compassion, love, empathy, and gratitude over actions that harm or ignore the needs of others.

About russtowne

I'm awed by the beauty of nature and the power of love and gratitude. Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
