I recently saw a photo of a large dog with with friendly but sad old eyes, and much white on its face. It wore a sign made of cutout cardboard which was hanging from its neck. The message on it looked like it had been lovingingly hand-written with crayons. It read:
“Will (Heart) for food”.
My heart went out to that dog, to the person who created that sign, and to everyone who could use more love and food in their lives. May we all get plenty of both, nourishment for the body and the spirit, and give the same.
