Remember Why You’re Holding On

“The moment you think about giving up, think of the reason you held out so long.” –Michele Serens Mann

Sounds like good advice to me! Storms eventually end if you hang in there long enough. In the darkest nights and in the most brutal storms, I hope you’ll be inspired by memories of the warmth of the sun on your skin, and the light that accompanies new days and new beginnings!

I’ve also recently been reminded that sometimes a simple change of view or attitude; of the way I look at a problem, challenge, relationship, situation, or puzzle, can lead to solutions that had eluded me for a long time but had been right in front of me all along.

Some of my favorite sensory experiences include waves crashing on rocky shores, waterways in ancient redwood and fern-filled forests, and rain. My wife and I have been married since 1979. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I manage a wealth management firm that I founded in 2003. My Beloved is a Special Education teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. I'm a published author of approximately 60 books in a variety of genres for grownups and children.
