About russtowne

My wife and I have been married for over 33 years. We have 3 adult children and recently became grandparents for the first time, with a second one on the way! I founded, own, and operate an investment management and advisory firm. My wife is a Special Ed teacher for Kindergartners and First Graders. In addition to our family and friends and my profession, my passions include writing poetry, song lyrics, and non-fiction short stories; tending a fern garden and small redwood grove on our property, hiking in ancient old-growth redwood forests, and watching old movie classics.

It sometimes surprises me how many opportunities we miss to simply “be Kind” and what a difference it may may in someones day, or even their life! Nice read! beebee

Wow, what a great post and video. So heart-warming and a great emotive soundtrack too. I’m going to recommend the video to my headmaster to play at a school assembly. Our one school rule is “be kind”. Thanks for following my blog. I am really looking forward to seeing more of your posts. Especially keen to explore your songwriting: a big hobby of mine too. Have a good one. :)

Welcome to my online home, Mr. Oh. Thank you for your kind comment. I love that your school has only one rule, and that it is to be kind. With that rule, no other is necessary. It is much easier for students and faculty to remember too.
